Study Paper 17
15 page (8.5 x 11)
In this Study Paper the meaning of Revelation 1:1 and 3 is analyzed. The study opens with a survey of various scholarly approaches to these verses. Each of these is shown to be inadequate. Then a careful explanation of the meaning and significance of these verses is offered. These verses are shown to mean what they actually say: That the events of Revelation were to occur in the first century during the lifetime of John's original audience.
This study is brief but substantial. It serves well for introducing friends to the orthodox preterist understanding of Revelation.
