This book can serve as an effective introduction to preterism, by dealing with five key passages involved in the debate. It defends a redemptive-historical preterist view of these famous prophecies, showing, among other things, that Nero is the Man of Sin and the Beast; the Great Tribulation occurred in A.D. 70; the Harlot is first century Jerusalem.
It provides careful exegetical studies of key judgment passages that are so crucial for understanding biblical prophecy and rebutting dispensationalists: Dan 9:24-27; Matt 24:1-34; 2 Thess 2:1-9; Rev 13; and Rev 17.
This makes an excellent book for both personal study, as well as group Bible study!
"Gentry demolishes dispensational exegesis of Daniel 9 and Matthew 24. If the demolition is as complete as it seems to me, it could be fatal to the whole dispensational system." (R. C. Sproul in Foreword). 165 pp. CMP. Paper.

As a former dispensationalist this book settled a lot of unreconcilable doctrines in my mind, absolutely love it. Still cant fine the 2000 year gap in Daniel, LOL

This book brings light to the darkness surrounding the end-time errors of our day.

Rev. Gentry, Glen just finished reading "Perilous Times". He said you make it so plain and simple. We have complicated things so much. Thank you for obeying the Lord and using your wonderful ministry of teaching to the Body of Christ.

With new light and lens to understand the book of Revelation, it is like treasure hunting and discovering hidden nuggets that have long been hidden from me. All scripture is better understood because of "early dating" knowledge and understanding of the figures. It's like coming out of a cloud into the sunshine. "Perilous Times" gives keys to unlock doors of phrases not understood before. Thank you for both this book and "Revelation Made Easy" They have brought much joy my Bible study.

This is an excellent study, that will interest anyone studying biblical prophecy---whether or not one agrees with all of Gentry's positions.

I ordered Perilous Times and it came today.
I have always been confused by Daniel 9 (as most all are) and have never been
able to find anything that made sense.
I am almost finished Chapter 1 and I finally understand it. You have made it crystal clear (perhaps that is why so many don't get it, too
easy!).
Thanks. I am really looking forward to the rest of the book.

Perilous Times which I'm reading now is an eye opener. It's coverage of the key Eschatology Scriptures is right on point.
