This book can serve as an effective introduction to preterism, by dealing with five key passages involved in the debate. It defends a redemptive-historical preterist view of these famous prophecies, showing, among other things, that Nero is the Man of Sin and the Beast; the Great Tribulation occurred in A.D. 70; the Harlot is first century Jerusalem.
It provides careful exegetical studies of key judgment passages that are so crucial for understanding biblical prophecy and rebutting dispensationalists: Dan 9:24-27; Matt 24:1-34; 2 Thess 2:1-9; Rev 13; and Rev 17.
This makes an excellent book for both personal study, as well as group Bible study!
"Gentry demolishes dispensational exegesis of Daniel 9 and Matthew 24. If the demolition is as complete as it seems to me, it could be fatal to the whole dispensational system." (R. C. Sproul in Foreword). 165 pp. CMP. Paper.

I recently read “Perilous Times” and as always I appreciate your thorough research but at the same time the clarity of expression. Your books have really made a difference for me and encouraged me to devote more of my time to Bible study, prayer and attending church sermons. No doubt, by your work and your books, you have influenced a great many persons in a similar manner, and God bless you for that.
