This 5 DVD lecture set was filmed at a Bible Conference in Florida. It explains the entire Olivet Discourse in Matt. 24–25 from the (orthodox) preterist perspective.
This lecture series begins by carefully analyzing Matt. 24:3, which establishes the two-part structure of the Discourse. It shows that the first section of the Discourse (Matt. 24:4–35) deals with the coming destruction of the temple and Jerusalem in AD 70. This important prophetic event is also theologically linked to the Final Judgment at the end of history, toward which AD 70 is a distant pointer.
This series goes further in explaining the full Discourse than does any of my previous books or lectures. It clears up the confusion regarding the relationship of AD 70 to the Final Judgment. Important lessons for orthodox Christian who want to understand Jesus’ great Discourse.

I enjoyed the talks. It clarified some things for me. He could have gone into more detail about how the signs of the first part of Matthew 24 were fulfilled in the first century.
It would have been nice to have some diagrams showing relationships among the events.
Technically, the picture was dark, and Dr. Gentry's face hard to see. My wife has to read lips and was unable to get anything. Is it possible to add subtitles to future talks?
A singe camera angle is a little boring, too.

Almost all Christians are partial preterists, who believe that the first coming of Jesus as Messiah in A.D. 27 to A.D. 30 was a fulfillment of Bible prophecy in the past. I find that Dr. Gentry's interpretation of Matthew 24:29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days..." up to 24:31 "And he will send out his angels..." is not correct, this passage refers to an event in our future, "and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory". In v29 "the tribulation of those days" refers to two thousand years of tribulation for the people of Israel, the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70 was just the beginning of that thousands of years tribulation for Israel. In the parallel passage in Luke 21:24 "They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive among all nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.", also Duet 28:64 “And the LORD will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other" also Lev 26:33 "And I will scatter you among the nations, and I will unsheathe the sword after you, and your land shall be a desolation, and your cities shall be a waste". In Matt: 24:34 "Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place", the phrase "all these things" only refers to the destruction of the temple and city of Jerusalem, because the text defines the meaning of the phrase in Matt 23:36 "Truly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.", Matt 24:2 "But he answered them, “You see all these, do you not?", Matt 24:3 “Tell us, when will these things be", Matt 24:33 "So also, when you see all these things, you know that he (or it) is near, at the very gates.". "it" means that the Roman army is at the gates of Jerusalem in a siege of the city. There is an overall structure to Matthew 24. 24:1 to 24:31 describes what will happen, the sequence of events. Matt 24:32 to 25:30 describes the timing of the events.

As a relatively new believer, I was presented very early on into my conversion the principles of a dispensational premillennial-pre-tribulation rapture eschatology. As I read and studied the bible, it became evident to me that this eschatological position was not in alignment with Holy Scripture. Dr. Gentry's presentation of The Olivet Discourse makes complete sense to me. I am unable to poke holes in his presentation with Scripture as I was easily able to do with the dispensational premillennial perspective. I find myself becoming more and more sympathetic to the partial preterist perspective. I look forward to exploring more of Dr. Gentry's works.
