Navigating the Book of Revelation: Special Studies on Important Issues is the first book produced from my Revelation Commentary Project's research. This is not a commentary on Revelation. Rather, in it the student of Revelation will find fifteen special studies on key issues that are helpful for working his way through John's mysterious book. Some of the studies are technical studies; some are more general. All offer important insights into the redemptive-historical preterist interpretation of Revelation.

In this work you will see how John put on the mantle of the Old Testament prophet to confront Israel in her rebellion. You will understand his anger with Israel, paralleling John the Baptist, Jeremiah, Isaiah, and Ezekiel.
You will learn how he denounces Israel for her persecuting Christians and how he "excommunicates" the temple as an idol for Israel. You will learn much about Israel's involvement with Rome against young Christianity. You will also find answers to perplexing questions, such as: "Why did John send such a Hebraic book to Asian Christians?"
In addition, you will find an important Appendix that resoundingly answers the charge of Anti-Semitism, which is often hurled at preterism.

Reader interaction
"I recently purchased Navigating the Book of Revelation and it’s been a great blessing!" (D.S., China)
"I am reading Navigating the Book of Revelation, and am enjoying it very much, almost as much as The Book of Revelation Made Easy. I feel that this, and your other books are very important to kingdom understanding of the Scriptures. I want you to know that you have revolutionized my thinking regarding my personal eschatological views. Where before I was curious yet confused about Revelation, I now find that I am a redemptive-historical partial preterist! Thank you! It has been your work that has brought me to this conclusion theologically." Patrick Moody (Florida)
" I am currently reading your “Navigating the Book of Revelation” And it is fascinating. So I just wanted to say thank you.. and that I appreciate and have benefited greatly from your work. Be encouraged and carry on my brother!! Thanks again." (K.Walker, Atlanta)

I'm finding this book to be very well laid out and logically structured. As the book states, reading "Revelation Made Easy" first is a must but I would go a step further and say to read, The Olivet Discourse Made Easy second, before reading Navigating Revelation.
I've purchased and read both and am now reading Navigating.
Rev made easy is only a shallow primer (as advertised) which was frustrating but certainly the place to start. The Olivet Easy book is a great book and also necessary foundational material. It does more damage to prophet futurism and the dispensationism gobbledygook than anything I've read, save the Holy Bible, of course. I would contend that one cannot fully appreciate The Revelation of Jesus Christ without first understanding the destruction of the Temple, Jerusalem, Judea, and greater Israel, therefore, read the Olivet book before reading Navigating.
And now, the Lord has me prepared, I pray, for the soon to be released and much anticipated The Divorce of Israel.

I am so informed by Dr. Gentry’s, Navigating the Book of Revelation. Not only is his research and Bible knowledge profound, but his teaching ability is top notch. He tells you what he is going to explain, he explains it and then briefly summarizes what he explained. This is excellent pedagogical practice and so helps the reader understand complex material. His ability to explain clearly, demonstrates true mastery. In contrast to so many strange “explanations” of the book of Revelation, he shows that the first century interpretation of Revelation is the “Cinderella” that fits the shoe perfectly! Thank you Kenneth Gentry.

This book is a good review & condensed summary of the Preterist position. It won't convince a diehard dispensationalist but will give a sensitive heart something to ponder. It would be a good resource for a small (2-3) group disillusioned with dispensationalism & wanting to consider an alternative. I have been in a PCA congregation for nearly 40 yrs & the young people don't have the same baggage I did.
Having come out of the mid-Western IFCA churches 45 yrs ago, their main tenet of faith in Revelaion is that it was written A.D. 90-100 so they conclude audiences are mainly Gentile, the destruction of temple had nothing to to do with the apostasy of the Jews, the Romans were the bad guys and Christians & Jews therefore have a common faith. It took me 5 years of study to change & then came the pain of leaving (tossed out?) the old & joining the RPCES.

Your position and arguments make a lot of (Biblical) sense.
