Product Description

A Guide for Passengers
by Dr Henry Richter with David F Coppedge
Retail price: $12.00
PB 168 pp.

We hear so much today about how the universe, the earth and life all supposedly came about by chance events and processes. In this book, a bona fide rocket scientist, Dr Henry Richter—a pioneer in aerospace—challenges these views by exploring what is required for us to exist in the universe. He shows that our planet can be thought of as a sophisticated spacecraft designed for our benefit. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to understand this fascinating book, so dive in and discover for yourself the truth about our amazing universe and how it came to be.

Gentry endorsement:

“This is a fascinating book packed with interesting and important facts that should encourage the Creationist and discourage the Evolutionist. These facts demonstrate the statistical impossibility of chance evolution creating the orderly world brimming with life that we now inhabit. A very interesting and quite persuasive read that I could not put down. I highly recommend it!”

Kenneth L. Gentry, Jr.

Reviewer note:
“This book summarizes information from many different domains of science, related to how Earth is optimized for life and how living creatures display optimal design. It discusses cosmology, including the Big Bang theory, multiverses, etc. It discusses biology, including the complexity of life and the difficulties with the commonly-accepted theories of evolution and abiogenesis. It discusses the evidence both for and against evolution. At the end, Dr. Richter shares his own life story, including his career of developing Explorer I (USA's first satellite) and how he became a Christian in his 40s. The book has a perfect balance of concise information and readability, with a few stories and pictures thrown in too.”

The author
Dr Richter earned a PhD in chemistry, physics, and electrical engineering from the California Institute of Technology. Dr Richter worked for NASAs Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) during the space race, and oversaw the development of Americas first earth satellite, Explorer I. He was also responsible for scientific instruments in the Ranger, Mariner, and Surveyor spacecraft. After several other careers, he is now retired and lives in Escondido, California, USA.
